we’ve had a lot of trouble with the blog page recently.
posts are generated using the post grid element in wpbakery.
We tried different settings and had different results. The page always loaded very slow and it has to load all the posts before displaying (ajax would we a good idea).
However, after having a white page only displaying the “0” character, we removed all ‘lazyloading’, ‘load more’ or ‘pagination’ set up to have all posts displayed in the page.
we cleaned the cache and it started to display. That was yesterday. Today it’s a white page…
any clue would be helpful.9 months, 1 week ago MirelaKeymaster
Please deactivate all third party plugins first. Then try again. There is no problem using the post grid element of Visual Composer. It is one of the plugin’s native elements and it’s not overwritten by theme code.
If you still have problems, send us some valid wp credentials in a private reply. So we can give it a closer look.
sorry for the delay.
Maybe it’s a third party plugin compatibility problem. I didn’t have the time to check. We put the blog back to the onero timeline config. And it works. Besides it’s quite nice too.
Problem is now to find where to set up pagination because loading 50 posts by page takes too much time.8 months, 2 weeks ago MirelaKeymaster
Please go to General Options > Blog Config > Select the pagination method, select “With Pagination”.
Let me know.
This is what i did already, but then 50 posts are displayed by page, this is why i’m looking for some pagination set up. 10 posts would be fine and the blog page would load fast enough.8 months, 2 weeks ago MirelaKeymaster
Please go to Settings > Reading and check out how many posts are set to show up. See screenshot: https://postimg.cc/image/z3f1nuj7x/
If it’s 50 or more, decrease the number and save changes. If not, send us some valid wp credentials and i can check this for you and fix it.
Let me know.
Thanks a lot Mirela 🙂
