How do I make my Shop front page/archives full-width?3 weeks, 3 days ago etimportParticipant
Thank you. But the settings are already set like that – and on normal pages there is no problem making them full-width, it is only on the shop front page.
Page option is not set to overwrite the default post layout.
Is there any other settings somewhere – or why is my shop archives page behaving like that?3 weeks, 3 days ago etimportParticipant
Hi. Is there anyway I can email you guys?
I would like to send you some screenshots of my settings and preview of shop page.
Everything is set to full-width, still shop page is not reacting accordingly. Only normal pages not archives.

No. Not the container.
Did you not see that the shop page (http://theorganiccompanyshop.dk/shop-fullwidth/ can only be viewed when logged in) – was not full-width? – though my site is set so?
Please see screenshot https://theorganiccompany.dk/new/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/not_full-width.jpg
I guess, if you use a background-color for a block and the site is set to full-width, the block should go from left to right on your screen, right?
The other normal pages are full-width – with the same settings. See screenshot https://theorganiccompany.dk/new/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/full-width.jpg
Do you get my point?2 weeks, 3 days ago etimportParticipantThis reply has been marked as private.2 weeks, 3 days ago MirelaKeymaster
Sorry for the late reply.
Yes i understand what you want to say. But as i say, you can select the layout in The Simple > Layout menu. Set up the width for fullwidth and boxed layout. Select which one to use. See screenshots as example in your site:

But we want the width of the container to stay to 1200px and not 1600px. Adding a background img or color to normal pages the background is full width – on all other pages, except the shop page.
If I change the container width to 1600px it stretches all other elements which we do not want.
Do you agree that http://theorganiccompanyshop.dk/shop-2/ is full-width and http://theorganiccompanyshop.dk/shop-fullwidth/ is not? (look out for the green background color) – even though they have the same settings? (which is the container set to 1200px and not 1600px.)
If you agree you see the problem. Other wise, I don’t know how to explain, as I keep repeating myself. Sorry, I do not know how to explain better.2 weeks, 3 days ago MirelaKeymaster
Yes, because the shop page assigned in Woocommerce > Settings > Products > Shop page, will inherit the woocommerce plugin’s style and set up for shop page. Not theme’s or Visual Composer. The other pages inherit the style you set up in theme’s settings.
Let me know.
