Hi. I have various “One Page” menu items which work fine using your #section system. The problem is when there are other pages such as Contact or Blog outside the One Page set up. If you are on a normal page the menu adds that page to the menu so you get for example http://example.com/contact/#section1. That then does not work.
If you change the custom menu set up to http://example.com/#section1 then the menus do not work at all although if you are on a page which is not a One Page item it will then go to a One Page section but not always the correct one. If you click on #section3 you could end up on #section2.
Can you please advise how to resolve this issue as it is very frustrating. The odd thing is that the correct menu link appears on the bottom left of the page/browser but nothing happens to open the correct page in the browser. I have checked with other browsers and have the same result so it is clearly a menu/theme problem. The website is https://repdomwebs.com if you can view this and see what is happening and provide a solution.

The problem here is that you are trying to use two types of layouts in the same time. The One page layout is build to have only one page and all the menu links will point to sections inside that one page.
When you have other external pages, then the “One Page” is not true anymore and the links structure can not be the same.
To make it work, you have to put full links (screenshot) for the sections in the menu and disable the “Use menu as one page menu” option in the page’s General Settings > Page Options & Style (screenshot).
Let us know.

Thank you. That is now working fine. Can I recommend you mention this in the Documentation as I am sure many designers would want to incorporate pages outside the “One Page” set up and a description of how to do this as above would save much frustration.3 years, 2 months ago MirelaKeymaster
Yes, sure. We will make the needed changes in the documentation and include it in the future theme release.
Thank for suggesting.
